Overview
The AeroDR 3 HD2 is the top model of Konica Minolta’s AeroDR wireless detector series. A high-sensitivity TFT panel with a thicker caesium iodide scintillator and a new readout circuit cuts electronic noise by half or more, which Konica Minolta states gives higher detective quantum efficiency at lower dose than its earlier panels. Images are processed by the REALISM engine on the CS-7 console at 100 µm.
The enclosure is carbon sheet moulding compound with a silver-based antibacterial agent mixed through the material, so the protection does not wear off with cleaning. The panel kept IPX6 water resistance after being dropped from 1 m in the manufacturer’s test. It is the detector the AeroDR TX m01 mobile unit needs for dynamic digital radiography at the bedside.
